It is indeed a sad time for the Nigerian movie industry as we all woke up to the news that Veteran Nollywood actor, Gbolagade Akinpelu also known as ‘Ogun Majek’ has died.
Ogun Majek, who has been battling an ailment for many months, died in the early hours of Thursday, June 25 at his Imalenfalafia residence in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Ogun Majek’s death was also confirmed by comic actor and president of Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, who is mostly known as Mr Latin.
Filmmaker, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, who confirmed Majek’s death on his Facebook page, wrote
”From him, we come and on to him we shall return, Alh Gbolagade Akinpelu Ogunmajek has return to his creator, may God almighty rest his soul among the righteous. Amen”
