Rema had called out the DJ by means of his Twitter account on Friday for releasing their joint song, titled For You, without his assent.
The Nigerian A-list disk jockey, DJ Neptune, nonetheless, revealed that he had indeed gotten authorization from the artist’s team before going ahead to deliver the song on his second studio album, Greatness 2.0, on Friday.
In a Twitter post on Friday, DJ Neptune divided pictures of visits between himself, and Rema’s chief, Seun Okeke, showing that he was given the go-ahead to distribute the song and additionally get ready for a music video.
He additionally shared a letter titled, ‘Re: claimed utilization of Divine Ikubor a.k.a Rema’s Intellectual Property’, explaining how he followed fair treatment in releasing the said joint song.

“Further to this, I am also attaching a response dated 21st September 2021 issued by Rema’s manager, through whom the said composition was earlier forwarded to me, acknowledging the receipt of the same email.”
