Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has responded to rumours suggesting he suffers from mental illness.
A video of the actor walking down the street looking deranged went viral a few days ago, fueling speculation that he was mentally challenged and wasn’t in charge of his brain.
Before the actor responded, his colleague, Shan George refuted the rumour, saying he was fine. She posted a video of the actor on set with a few other Nollywood personalities.
Meanwhile, Hanks Anuku has spoken out about the rumour, advising those peddling the false story to “better go to Jesus”.
“I want you all to know that my love for Nigeria is real and it is from the most High God. But those who hate me can come out to my face,” he said.
Hanks asked the writers of the report to stop writing about him.
He said, “Stop writing cr@p about me. If your family doesn’t have respect for Nigeria, then you better go to Jesus Christ for deliverance.Just leave me alone, please.
“I just want you to know that today is the 18th of November 2022 and I’m speaking live from my caban.
“Don’t forget it, this is not an old video, this is fresh from the heavens above to the earth below. Find Jesus and leave me alone.”
However, looking at what the actor wrote, there is still doubt if he’s completely fine. Maybe, his colleagues should go closer to him and find out what’s really happening, because the combination of “…my love for Nigeria”, “…if your family doesn’t have respect for Nigeria”, and “…go to Jesus Christ for deliverance” isn’t adding up.
