The Edo State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Chris Nehikhare has announced that he had not resigned his position in the party, following the allegedly “diabolical” social media post that was circulating and signifying that he had resigned his position.
The PDP State Publicity Secretary revealed to the public that the information was a lie and figment of the imagination of the desperados managing a lame campaign that had run out of ideas and decided to take a simple way out.
“I have said it repeatedly that governance is a serious business. My covenant with Edo people is to help enthrone a governor that is transparent, financially prudent, and puts his people first”, he stated.
“How can I leave PDP when we have a good story to tell?” added Nehikhare in a media statement. He also noted that he will not join any political party that lacks the trust and respect of the Edo people.
He further reported that he will remain in the party to assist Governor Godwin Obaseki to carry on with his splendid job.” I remain in PDP filled with men and women with integrity and compassion for Edo people. I remain in PDP that is enjoying unprecedented support from Edo people and Nigerians”, he said.
After correcting the notion that he had resigned his position in the party, the Publicity Secretary vowed to continue serving the people of Edo and transform the state for a better future.
